They use different platforms and have different ways of organizing your data. You must review your new potential host before you make any big decisions.

You need to decide what hosting service you want to use. Next step is to sign up for that hosting service and start transferring all of your files to your new host. This can be quite time consuming and confusing. Make sure all of your data is appropriately label, because you may need to pull certain files and load them differently onto your new server.

How long will it take to move server locations?

Once you have subscribed to your new host, the next step is to contact your domain name registrar and inform them of your new IP address. This process may take 24-48 hours and on a rare occasion it can take up to 72 hours.

Do I need to resubmit my site to search engines?

When the search engines are searching the web they will not see any difference between your new site and your old site and the search engines will proceed to index your sites as normal. Of course, it is always a good idea to regularly submit your site to the search engines, even if you don't move server locations.
